- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Just returned from a memorable holiday break in Eastbourne (ref Eastbourne, South Downs, Historic Towns). Highly enjoyable, this is the second time for this particular holiday. All aspects of journey to and fro went smoothly and on time. Driver Phil was friendly, helpful, considerate and professional. He even had refreshments of tea, coffee etc on board at far better prices than the motorway services. The coach itself was ok, getting a bit dated but still reasonably comfortable. The New Wilmington is a very good hotel. Our room, whilst not lavish was comfortable and well serviced. Consideration of my disabilities by them meant we had a room with a walk-in shower, near the lifts. Food there is excellent as is their table service, Staff are all friendly, welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. There was free entertainment in the evenings. What more could one possibly ask for. I do hope Ogdens will continue to offer this holiday, I am also considering the longer version of this trip for later this year. As it happens I am actually from Bexhill and the half-day trip there was particularly wonderful. This trip provides me with opportunity to see family and friends in the area. I will also be considering other coach holidays with David Ogden to other destinations as such holidays are ideal for me, whether I am accompanied or even alone... everyone on the trip seemed to have something in common and interacted well.
